BMW’s New Look

BMW spotlighted their new logo at the unveiling of their i4 concept. It’s only the fifth time in BMW’s long history that the logo has been redesigned. The new logo has lost its 3D effect and more notably the black ring circling the blue and white. BMW have claimed the new logo won’t replace the current logo but will instead be used for brand communication.

Tesla’s 1,000,000th Car

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced earlier this week that the Californian based company has built it’s 1,000,000th car. Founded in 2003, it has taken Tesla 17 years to reach this impressive milestone. However, Tesla has seen incredible growth since Musk’s appointment and with the increased demand for electric vehicles, Tesla will have many more milestones in their sights.

Ruf goes country

Yeehaw! Ruf have unveiled their new concept car… The Rodeo. It’s not what we’re used to seeing from the German Manufacturer that has a history of producing performance vehicles. The Rodeo looks like a Porsche from the wild west, but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all for show, this unusual car is built for off-road driving, with it’s four-wheel drive and large all terrain tyres. The only thing missing is Clint Eastwood behind the wheel.

Car launches go ahead without the Geneva Motor Show

Despite the sad news that the Geneva Motor Show would be cancelled due to the Coronavirus, many car manufacturers have gone ahead with their car reveals, either online or at an alternative location. There’s been some incredible releases so far from the Morgan Plus 4 to the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport. Take a look at the video below, where Autocar run-through all the cars you need to see.

Aston Martin to have racing focus

Aston Martin held a press conference earlier this week to introduce their incoming Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll. A consortium led by Stroll invested £500 million in the British Manufacturer and is looking to “reset the business plan”. Part of this reset will be re-branding Stroll’s Racing Point F1 team to Aston Martin Racing in 2021. With Aston having an F1 works team he believes it will garner more interest in the brand. Stroll also believes the technology used by their F1 team will help in developing their mid-engine cars such as the Valkyrie and the Valhalla.

Max Verstappen hails Zandvoort revamp

The Dutch youngster christened the revamped track and hailed it as “pretty cool”. Zandvoort returns to the F1 calendar this year following a 35-year absence. The Dutch GP will be Verstappen’s first home grand prix in his F1 career, and he hopes to claim victory in front of his many passionate fans.
