20th Anniversary Special Edition ’24hrs of Le Mans’ McLaren 650s

20th Anniversary Special Edition ’24hrs of Le Mans’ McLaren 650s

McLaren are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their triumphant win at the 1995 24 hours of Le Mans with a new, bespoke and limited edition version of their McLaren 650s.

Only 50 examples of the special edition vehicle will be built and they are expected to retail at £244,500.

The new 650s is built to pay homage to those cars that helped McLaren to achieve their win with cars finishing First, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Thirteenth in the 24hrs of Le Mans Race back in 1995.

The new model has been designed in collaboration with Original F1 stylist Peter Stevens and although the new model is mechanically unchanged from the standard 650s, the limited edition version has been fitted with lightweight wheels and has the addition of a modern take on the roof snorkel that feed cold air into the 3.8 Litre Twin-Turbo V8 engine. This aids the 650s to hit a top speed of 207mph and reach 0-100mph in 5.7secs.

All examples of the model will be finished in the same sleek and stylish Sarthe Grey Metallic paint.

Buyers are also being enticed by the offer of an exclusive invitation for the owner plus a guest to join McLaren at a 20th Anniversary celebration of the famous victory.
