The 400bhp Audi RS3 Sportback

Audi has revealed the updated RS3 Sportback before its official debut at Geneva. The new RS3 5 door hatchback has styling changes and more power.

The RS3 Sportback has been uprated and updated in line with the rest of the Audi A3 range. Visually the RS3 Sportback takes on new slicker design language, such as a new grille and front fascia. There are more air intakes and full LED headlights are available. The RS3 gets new 19-inch alloys, steering wheel and features Audi’s Virtual cockpit.

The new Sportback has impressive performance rivalling that of the 911 Carrera and Mercedes-AMG A45. It runs on a lightweight 5 cylinder 2.5-litre turbo engine, which is also used in the TT RS.  The car has 394bhp and will do 0-62mph in less than 4 seconds and has a limited top speed of 155mph. Audi can raise the top speed to 174mph on request. The car receives Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S-Tronic dual clutch gearbox.

The car will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and order book will open in April. Deliveries will roll out in August and pricing should start at £46,500.
