The 493bhp BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition

BMW has revealed a new limited edition M4. The M4 DTM Champion Edition is inspired by BMW’s winning DTM racers, and features new styling and more power.

The debut of the new M4 follows Marco Wittmann’s recent championship-winning drive at the Hockenheimring. Only 200 examples will be produced.

The DTM Edition is similar to a M4 GTS, featuring new, advanced water injection technology and a titanium exhaust system.  The M4’s power has been increased to 493bhp and now has a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds.

Other improvements include new OLED tail lights, adaptive LED headlights, distance control and premium Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.

The aerodynamics have been brought into line with the DTM racer’s, and include a new aero kit, featuring a large rear wing. The exterior is dressed in DTM livery with a blue and red sticker kit adorning the car. The cabin has been stripped back, with the rear seats removed and new M Carbon bucket seats in the front. The interior is finished in Alcantara in a choice of trim options. White roll bars have been added to the rear.

Pricing for the new M4 DTM will start at £134,263.
