A First for Bentley

A First for Bentley

2016 may seem a long way off, but fortunately Bentley have given us something to look forward to.  2016 will be the year Bentley launches their SUV with a price tag of just over £100,000. Despite there being no exact details released as yet, Bentley have already received 2,000 pre-orders for the extravagant SUV. Following the reveal of the Bentley SUV EXP 9 F at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, Bentley have noted customer feedback and modified the style accordingly. The newly released sketch shows the SUV with a sportier design and similar proportions to the Porsche Cayenne. Bentley plans to invest £800 million into the Crewe HQ, Cheshire where the SUV will be manufactured, creating more than 1000 jobs. Bentley are aware competition will be fast on its way with suggested models coming from Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin, among others. Kevin Rose, the Sales and Marketing Director for Bentley is confident this SUV will be a triumph. Bentley aims to sell 3,000-4,000 models a year, helping them achieve their annual sales of 15,000 by 2018. Bentley believe the US and China will account for 50% of their sales, with Russia and the Middle East also playing an imperative role. The SUV will be the first Bentley to use a diesel engine, with a plug-in hybrid model planned for 2017.
