A Seven Seater Discovery

A Seven Seater Discovery

Land Rover have released further details on their upcoming Discovery Sport model, which is to be offered with seven seats as a standard in the UK. Land Rover have given us a sneak peak as to what the model will look like, by presenting the model in a skeleton camouflage wrap which offers an insight to the interior appearance. Customers should expect two rear seats to be added, a bit smaller than the middle row. These seats will fold down into the boot to create more luggage capacity. These model updates are expected to help Land Rover secure their position in an increasingly competitive market. Rivals of Land Rover, such as the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Porsche Macan do not offer a third row of seats, therefore this update would set the Discovery apart from the crowd. The Discovery is to be made available with a range of advanced diesel engines. Land Rover Design Director, Gerry McGovern, believes the model will offer more storage and flexible seating whilst sustaining a better carbon footprint than a traditional five seater SUV. This model is due to go on sale in 2015, but will be first seen at the Paris Motor Show in September.
