A Special Edition Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is heading to Geneva.

A Special Edition Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is heading to Geneva.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 which is based on the V12 Vantage S road car and inspired by the popular GT3 race car, will make its debut this March at Geneva Motor Show.

The new Aston can be easily distinguished from the V12 Vantage due to its extensive aerodynamic package; a horseshoe graphic in the bonnet and a large, fixed rear wing. Extensive uses of lightweight materials inside and out are present to reduce its kerb weight by up to 150kg.

Aston has not yet confirmed the final engine output and performance figures but 600hp is predicted and the 0-60mph time is estimated at 3.5sec, which is 0.2sec faster than that of the V12 Vantage S.

David King, Aston Matin’s director, stated that their aim was to “create the essence of a GT3 racer in a still-legal Vantage road car”.

The price has not yet been confirmed and the ultimate Aston Vantage will be a limited edition as only 100 cars will be produced.
