Alfa Have a Plan

Alfa Romeo are back to impress with their new Giulia model set for the end of 2015. Alfa emerged from the woodwork with the rare news of the 4C in 2013 and were a brand with just two model lines at one time. Now, Alfa intend to produce a rival to the BMW 3 Series and Jaguar XE in the form of the Giulia model. The Giulia went public in Detroit and is a serious re-think for the brand. The Giulia is a compact executive car with a distinguished grille in a dominant position on the front of the car. The front headlights are sleek and flow over the bonnet with a crease to mirror them. At the rear, the tail lights wrap around the back to finish the design off in style. At the Geneva Motor Show, Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne emphasised the need for Alfa to reaffirm their models as powerful, attractive and light weight rear-wheel drives. The introduction of the Giulia is just the first stage of this plan and we are advised not to underestimate Alfa’s ability just yet. Some of the Giulia’s features will be making their debut in the market. With Fiat now involved Alfa are fortunate to have front-wheel drive architecture available to them. Alfa aim to target the US and China led by the Giulia over the next three years and are already looking ahead with an SUV planned to follow in 2016, potentially called the Giulietta Cross.
