Aston Martin add Shooting Brake and Speedster to Zagato ‘family’
Aston Martin has continued its partnership with coachbuilder Zagato, by adding Speedster and Shooting Brake versions to their Vanquish Zagato ‘family’.
The Shooting Brake and Speedster joins the previously announced Coupe and Volante models to expand the Zagato ‘family’ to four. All models are based on the Vanquish S production car, which produces 592bhp from its V12 engine and all four models will benefit from a carbon fibre body.
As expected, the Astons exude luxury, where ‘inside you can find a herringbone carbon fibre facia with anodised bronze rotary controls.’ Speaking about the ‘family’, Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman comments, “we haven’t released Zagato models as a family before, at least not in this way, but the idea is not without precedent. Think back to the DB7 Zagato and DB AR1, or the V8 Zagato Coupe and Volante, for example. We’ve simply taken things a few steps further.”
Between the four models there will be a total production of 325 cars, with customer deliveries expected to commence in 2018.
