Aston Martin DB11 revealed with AMG V8
Aston Martin has added a new 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 to its DB11 ranks, sitting alongside the existing 5.2 V12.
The 4.0-litre AMG V8 generates 503 bhp and 498 lb ft of torque, only marginally less than the 516 lb ft in the V12, producing an impressive 0-62mph of four seconds flat and on to a top speed of 187mph.
The lighter, more efficient V8 DB11 produces an official mpg figure of 28.5 (a 3.7mpg improvement over the V12) and saves 115kg over the V12 variant. Aston claim they have “broadened the DB11’s appeal by offering a car that’s more affordable, while still blessed with the exceptional performance and memorable character that sets Aston Martin apart from its rivals.”
Prices start from £144,900, a £13,000 saving over the V12 and was debuted at Junes 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
