Aston Martin Rapide AMR details emerge
New details have emerged of Aston Martin’s upcoming four-door Rapide AMR, following the concept car’s debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. New pictures and details have confirmed how the production version will shape up.
The Rapide AMR will use a naturally-aspirated 6.0-litre V12 that will generate 595bhp and 465lb ft. of torque. This means the Rapide AMR will sprint from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 205mph. The latest details confirm the new car will ride on 21” alloys, a first for an Aston, which will be wrapped in Michelin Super Sport tyres. The aerodynamics and suspension have both been tested rigorously, resulting in the front splitter and lip spoiler now being made out of carbonfibre and the suspension being fitted with three-stage adaptive dampers. The new quad exhaust system produces a ‘raucous’ soundtrack to match the AMR badge.
Similar to the DB11 AMR, the Signature model is finished in a Sterling Green and lime stripe combination. The Rapide AMR will cost £194,950, with the first deliveries expected to arrive in 2018.
