Aston Martin reveal DBZ Centenary collection
Aston Martin is set to build a Zagato version of the new DBS Superleggera, along with a limited number of continuation DB4 GT Zagato models.
The new vehicles will only be sold in pairs, priced at £6 million, plus local taxes – that’s £3-4 million less than the price of an original DB4 GT Zagato.
The exclusive duo, known as the DBZ Centenary Collection, has been created to celebrate Zagato’s 100th anniversary. Just 19 pairs will be built, with the DB4 GT Zagato closely following the design of the 1960’s original. The new version is expected to receive the same modified 4.2-litre engine as the DB4 GT continuation, outputting 380bhp.
The DBS GT Zagato will feature a number of exterior design changes and is likely to be powered by the same 715bhp 5.2-litre twin turbo V12 as the standard car. The 19 lucky owners will receive their DB4 GT in late 2019, with the DBS following a year later.
