Aston Martin’s new race-inspired Vantage AMR specials

Celebrating its racing prowess, Aston Martin has revealed two new special editions – the Vantage V8 and V12 AMR.

The new AMR sub-brand stands for ‘Aston Martin Racing’, the marque’s racing division, set up in 2004.  Production will be limited to just 300 cars – 100 V12s and 200 V8s – with the choice of either a 430bhp V8 or 595bhp V12 engine.

Buyers can specify either a manual or automatic gearbox, and there’s a selection of exclusive paint schemes; white and orange, blue and red, black and blue or silver and grey.  There’s also a ‘Halo Pack’ option with a Stirling Green finish and lime green accents, inspired by the Vantage GTE race car.  The interior is finished in leather and Alcantara, with contrasting coloured trims to complement the chosen paint scheme.

Pricing will start at £97,995, with both two special editions available in either Coupe or Roadster format.  First deliveries are expected in late 2017.
