Aston’s most powerful Vanquish yet…

Aston Martin has revealed new pictures of the latest Vanquish S and its sibling, the Volante convertible.

Based on the standard Vanquish S, the Volante features an electronic folding soft-top.  Both models are equipped with a modified 5.9-litre V12 engine, producing 595bhp – 27bhp more than the old Vanquish and Volante.  The extra power means the new car can sprint from 0-62mph in 3.5 sec – 0.3sec faster than before.

Updates include a quad-exit stainless steel exhaust system (replacing the old twin-exit design), new carbonfibre aerodynamics, such as the revised front splitter and rear diffuser, and a retuned eight-speed Tiptronic III gearbox, providing faster shifts.

The cabin comes with a choice of leather trims and new materials, including a satin chopped carbonfibre finish for the centre console.  There’s also the option of five-spoke, diamond-turned 20in alloys in place of the standard 20in cast ones.

Priced at £199,950, the new Vanquish S is £6995 more expensive than its predecessor, but it is more than £41,000 cheaper than its rival, the Ferrari F12.
