Audi Look Ahead

The Audi Q1 will debut at the Detroit Motor Show ahead of going on sale in early 2016. The Q1 is to be at the bottom of the SUV range, aimed to rival the Nissan Juke by offering a more premium model. The design of the Q1 is made more aggressive through its defined bodywork, with a sportier coupe inspired roofline. The internal design will replicate that of other Audi models, with plans to incorporate a touchscreen computer and integrate the MMI system. The Q1 will be 4m long, 1750mm wide and 1570mm high; making it taller than the A1 but smaller than the Juke. A selection of petrol and diesel stop-start engines are expected to be made available to match that of the A1 Supermini. The Q1 entry-level SE petrol model is anticipated to cost around £16,000, although official prices are yet to be confirmed. Audi are looking ahead as they intend to continue their expansion by reaching over 60 models by 2020.
