Audi Prologue Avant

Audi Prologue Avant

The first official images of Audi’s Prologue Avant concept car have been revealed ahead of next week’s Geneva Motor Show.

Equipped with a 3.0-litre TDI engine combined with an electric motor the Audi Prologue Avant reaches even higher performance levels than its predecessor the Prologue Coupe. With 455bhp and 553.2 lb-ft of torque it can reach 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 5.1 seconds.

The chassis has an adaptive air suspension and the dynamic all‑wheel‑drive steering system, which combines comfort, sportiness, handling and stability. The car not only previews a future shooting brake estate but also the aesthetically  pleasing slim LED laser headlights which is the next generation in lighting technology from Audi.

The car proves that Audi is exploring other ways of designing estate models with an emphasis on style rather than space. Inside the cabin epitomises luxury; more leather, a three-display touchscreen dash and at the back there are a pair of detachable OLED displays in the rear headrests. There is also the ‘butler’ system, that identifies the driver by their smartphone, and adjusts the seats and climate control automatically according to the pre-set preferences.

The five-door Audi Prologue Avant offers a sporty edge and variety, whilst confidently positioning itself in the highest-end range segment.
