BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer Revealed.

BMW’s first 7-seat MPV goes on sale this June. The model fits 7 seats into its 4556mm long body, making it a bigger than the 2 Series Active Tourer MPV.

The extra length indicates that there is more room to move in the cabin and BMW have added an optional 3rd row of seats. The special capacity of the 2 Series Gran Tourer is also impressive with 645 to 805 litres of load space depending on the position of the middle row of seats, while 1905 litres are available with the seats folded.

There will be a choice of two to four-wheel drive, petrol or diesel engines, which will be paired with either 6 speed manual or 8 speed automatic gearbox, and four trims to choose from, the SE, Sport, Luxury and M Sport.

BMW claims that with the 2 series Gran Tourer is entering a new marketplace as they are the only premium manufacturer to offer a seven-seater in this price bracket and that makes them unique.

Prices are expected to start upwards of around £24,000.
