BMW’s 100th anniversary Edition 7 Series

To mark the centenary year of BMW, a new limited edition 7 Series will be released worldwide this year with 3 engine choices.

The special edition, BMW 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS will be limited to a total of 100 examples. Prospective buyers of the THE NEXT 100 YEARS will get a choice of three engines depending on the market. The first available model is the 750Li, powered by a 448bhp 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine capable of pushing the 7 Series from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds.

BMW will later introduce two other engines into THE NEXT 100 YEARS range; the 740Le iPerformance plug-in hybrid and the Individual M760Li XDrive Model V12 Excellence. The latter is the star of the line, producing 600bhp from a 6.6-litre V12 engine and sprints from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds.

The Special edition also receives bespoke styling upgrades, including an exclusive ‘Centennial Blue’ metallic paint and 20-inch individually forged light alloy wheels finished in a Silver and Grey design. Internally BMW have pulled out all the stops, offering specially selected premium white leather with black accents, throughout the cabin. It features quilted plush sections, braided detailing and contrasting stitching. The carpets, headliner and seatbelts are trimmed with Alcantara.

To seal the deal, an individually crafted ‘Montblanc for BMW’ fountain pen will be given to the 100 buyers of the BMW THE NEXT 100 YEARS. The limited edition range will go on sale this year however BMW has not released any pricing yet.
