Bonhams to auction rare Aston Martin V12 Zagato Coupe

Bonhams have added a rare Aston Martin V12 Zagato Coupe to their upcoming Monaco auction lineup, commencing on the 11th May. This Aston Martin is just one of 61 that were produced, which has seen a significant appreciation since its original launch price of £330k (plus taxes) in 2012.

Aston Martin originally commissioned 150 V12 Zagato Coupes to be built by the Italian coachbuilders, however only 61 were ever produced, adding to the exclusivity of this car. Originally derived from the V12 Vantage, Zagato have replaced the bodywork with a bespoke carbon fibre and aluminium design, that saves weight and gives a distinctive ‘Zagato’ look, with a new fascia and a redesigned rear.

Underneath the bonnet, the Zagato retains its original V12 Vantage components. The car generates 520bhp from the naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12, that will see a top speed of 190mph and a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds. Thankfully, the car was fitted with all-round carbon-ceramic brakes to reign in the power.

The Zagato Coupe will go under the hammer at Bonhams’ Monaco auction amongst over 50 specialist lots. This V12 Zagato Coupe is expected to fetch between £480,000 and £660,000.
