Driving Licences in the UK are set to feature the Union Flag in 2015.
The Transport Minister Claire Perry has announced that the new driving licence photo cards will feature both the British Union and the European Union flag. Changes are set to apply to motorists in England Scotland and Wales “providing road users with a symbolic sign of their national identity.”
The changes to licences will come into effect at some point next year and are expected to affect those applying for a new licence or changing their details.
Claire Perry has said “People in this country rightly take pride in our national flag which is why I am delighted it will now be displayed on all British Driving licences.”
