Fancy a ‘brand new’ 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR?

If you do, then you’re in luck.  This very special Carrera RSR 3.8, with a mere 10km on the clock, is due to be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba sale in May.

Featuring a striking ‘CanCan red’ interior, with Amethyst Metallic wheels, the car is finished in a Polar Silver paint scheme that is still protected by the cosmoline coating applied by the factory.

The 964 RSR is one of the rarest 911s ever produced, with just 51 of the Turbo-bodied racing cars built.  Its race-developed, dry-sumped 3.8-litre engine connects to a rear-drive, five-speed gearbox, and delivers close to 370bhp, powering the car from 0-60mph in just 3.7sec.

Given its rarity, exceptionally low mileage and the high demand for air-cooled Porsches right now, it’s anyone’s guess how much the car will fetch when it’s auctioned at Villa Erba next month.
