Ferrari announce 2 new Monza speedsters

Ferrari have announced they will create a limited series of cars under the Icona name. The first two special edition projects are the Monza SP1 and SP2 speedsters.

The new models will be built with F1 production style techniques, using the aluminium chassis and 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 from the 812 Superfast. Power putput is increased to 798bh, making this the most powerful V12 engine the brand have ever produced. Torque is 719Nm and is delivered through the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and four-wheel steering system. Ferrari confirm the 0-62mph sprint will be tackled in just 2.9 seconds, with 0-120mph in just 7.9 seconds.

The new range will be offered to collectors and special clients for a price that will be confirmed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show next month. Initial estimates are expected to be around $3 million.
