Fisker unveil 161mph Tesla Rival

Fisker have lifted the lid on their powerful 161mph luxury electric saloon called the EMotion. This brand new EV will feature a 400-mile range, as well as all-wheel drive and an ultra-fast 9-minute charge time, thanks to their upcoming new battery technology.

Fisker are expected to reveal the EMotion, as well as their new battery technology, at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. As well as a new battery, the EMotion will be dripping in technology, including a curved infotainment screen, a large interactive ‘Ipad style’ centre dashboard screen and another screen in replacement of the traditional speed dials. Those who purchase the future ‘Chauffeur Edition’ will be able to spec a 27” curved screen for the rear seats. The EMotion will also be able to support level 4 autonomous driving through the five LIDAR sensors installed on the vehicle.

The new car reveals a stunning GT-Style design, complete with 4 ‘Butterfly’-hinged doors that can even be opened by the driver’s smartphone. The EMotion is crafted out of carbon fibre and aluminium, meaning it should be lighter than the Tesla Model S.

Production is due to commence in 2019 with the first UK cars expected in 2020. UK prices are unconfirmed; however it’s not expected to stray too far from the US asking price of $129,900 (£95,000).
