Ford offers iconic livery for new Ford GT

Ford has released a limited-run, special edition livery for the new Ford GT, paying tribute to the iconic Le Mans 1-2-3 win in 1967.

The special edition GT, coined the ’67 Heritage Edition, features a Race Red paint scheme coupled white racing stripes that span the full length of the car. The doors and bonnet continue a similar theme boasting large No.1 decals to complete the iconic look.

The ’67 Heritage Edition isn’t just about the paint scheme, it also benefits from 20-inch forged aluminium wheels, red brake callipers, silver mirror caps and exposed carbon fibre. The inside is also themed, with red stitching on the leather seats and steering wheel and red seatbelts.

Exterior design Manager for the car, Garen Nicoghosian, highlights how “the first Heritage edition car [the ’66 Heritage Edition] was a huge success, honouring our history with a modern interpretation of the Le Mans winner. Continuing with a 2018 Ford GT based on the winning GT40 Mark IV race car was simply something we needed to do.”

Orders are currently open, however time is of the essence as it is a limited-run special for the 2018 model year only.
