Geneva launch for new BMW M8 Gran Coupe
BMW have unveiled the new M8 Gran Coupe concept at the Geneva Motor Show. This flagship model will lead the upcoming 8 Series Gran Coupe family.
The M8 adopts typical M variant styling, with a familiar three-intake M front bumper, as well as bigger wheels and brakes and a quartet of tail pipes at the rear. Interestingly, it also features yellow daytime running lights, that take inspiration from the yellow headlamps of the GTE-class M8 racer. BMW have confirmed they are looking to bring these into production to act as a visual identifier for the M variant.
BMW are yet to confirm the technical details of the new M8, although it is expected to feature the same powertrain as the new M5. Expect 600bhp and a 4.4-litre twin turbo V8, matched with an eight speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive system.
