Goodwood Revival Gets Underway

Goodwood Revival Gets Underway

This weekend Goodwood has opened its gates to the classic cars of British motorsport as The Goodwood Revival gets underway.

Set in the beautiful grounds of Goodwood House, the revival offers guests the chance to see some of the most exciting and rare racing cars from throughout the heyday of British Motorsport, the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

With an impressive racing circuit programme featuring the Goodwood Trophy race and the Lavant Cup, the event will have spectators glued to the edge of the track. Participants in the race include not only track legends such as Derek Bell, but even celebrity amateurs like Rowan Atkinson will be taking part.

As well as the races there are amazing high speed demonstrations and even Lancaster Bomber air displays to keep guests entertained.

With the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar D Type this year, the Goodwood Revival is honouring the occasion with an all Jaguar D-type grid of over 25 cars racing one another.

With the revival spirit in full swing in Sussex this weekend, there will be tweed suits and fabulous dresses from the 40’s,50’s and 60’s to be admired culminating in the best dressed competition.

The revival is set to be a fantastic event and a great way to celebrate the prestigious racing history of Great Britain.
