Hybrid Bentayga spotted
A prototype hybrid Bentley Bentayga has been spotted in southern Europe undergoing hot-weather testing.
It has been widely rumoured that the 4×4 plug-in hybrid version will use a V6 engine, but it is expected to be the same 2894cc petrol engine found in the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.
The petrol hybrid variant will build upon Bentley’s foray into the SUV market with its first diesel engine, a 4.0-litre V8 producing 429bhp and 664lb ft of torque.
The hybrid Bentayga is due to be launched in 2018, whilst the diesel Bentayga is currently on sale.
