Introducing Alpine’s A110
Alpine has released the first official images of their long awaited sporting coupe. The new model will be fully unveiled at the Geneva motor Show.
The new A110 Coupe marks the French historic sporting brands return to the market. The new model’s name pays homage to the 1960’s world rally championship car. The A110 has been resigned to rival Audi’s TT and Porsche’s Cayman.
The first images reveal a stunning and smooth bodied design. There is a gentle wraparound rear screen, subtle sloping roofline and front wings. The LED lights and sleek lines give the A110 contemporary design language. Alpine has focused on making the new model light, agile and compact.
The A110 will be a mid-engined four-cylinder, producing around 250bhp. Performance is rumoured at around 0-62mph in less than 4.5 seconds.
The car will use an aerodynamic and flat floor to create downforce. The chassis and body will be built out of lightweight materials, such as aluminium, to reduce the kerb weight. There are also premium lightweight bucket seats, which have been finished with quilted leather and suede.
The A110 will be revealed on the 7th March at Geneva. Order books are already open and the first 1955 examples will be Premiere Editions.
