Jaguar’s New XE Infotainment InControl System Revealed

Jaguar’s New XE Infotainment InControl System Revealed

The new Jaguar XE InControl infotainment system has been revealed ahead of its debut at the Paris motor Show in October. The technologically impressive system is an industry first for the XE with its laser projection for the head-up display showing both speed and navigation in high contrast colour into the line of sight of the driver in a safe and simplified way.

Boasting an eight inch touch screen with smart phone integration for iOS and Android units, as well as functions including a tracking device to show the vehicles location should it be stolen, the infotainment system is really an amazing design feat. It will also allow the car to be transformed into a Wi-Fi hotspot for several devices.

The new InControl remote system’s ability seems endless, as it is even able to connect to the car remotely allowing the driver to pre-set the in-car heating and cooling system, locate the vehicle in a car park, unlock it and even start the engine.

Dr Mike Bell, Jaguar’s Global Connected Car Director, stated that the system is “designed and developed from scratch, they will ensure that every journey you take is simpler, more relaxing, safer, and effortlessly enjoyable.”

Powered by Jaguar’s new Ingenium engine range, the new XE will be available in three designs – the standard XE, XE S and XER-S and is due on sale from early next year.
