Lamborghini Aventador SVJ posts a blistering 6:44.97 Nurburgring time
Lamborghini have confirmed via social media that the new Aventador SVJ has set a 6:44.97 lap time at the Nurburgring, beating the recent Porsche 911 GT2 RS time by a few seconds.
Lamborghini claim the new SVJ has been ‘designed to have the best power to weight ratio’. It is unclear exactly what that is, however it’s safe to assume it improves on the already impressive 456bhp/tonne power to weight ratio from the Aventador SV. This will be achieved by including more carbonfibre, revising the aerodynamics and potentially squeezing more power out of the 6.5-litre V12 from the Aventador S. From the video it is clear the SVJ includes more track-focused styling, with its aggressive body kit and the inclusion of Lamborghini’s active aero technology (ALA), which first debuted on the Huracan Performante.
Lamborghini are yet to release a full specification, pricing and release date.
