Lamborghini reveals special edition Aventador

Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division has unveiled a limited edition Aventador which pays tribute to the Miura, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic car.

The special personalisation team have given the supercar a retro restyling inspired by the original Miura. The special edition’s exterior mirrors the Miura’s two-tone scheme, and is available in the 6 iconic Miura colours, including the popular Verde Scandal, Rosso Arancio Miura and Blue Tahiti.

Miura badges embellish the side and rear of the car, and the 20-inch front/21-inch rear Dione wheels are available in matt silver or gold. The interior is finished in leather and carbon fibre as standard, the leather is available in either Nero Ade or Terra Emilia. The seats reference the Miura again, finished in gold or sliver stitching with ‘Miura 50th’ logos.

The special edition is powered by a mid-mounted 6.5-litre V12 engine producing 700bhp, sending power to all four wheels. The car sprints from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 217mph.

Only 50 examples of the homage Aventador will be made, and the special edition is currently on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Pricing and delivery is yet to be revealed.
