Land Rover to restore 25 Series 1 models

Land Rover’s special Classic Division will beautifully restore 25 Series 1 models to their original 1948 factory specification.

The 25 hand-picked Series 1 models will be stripped back and perfectly restored in the Classic division set up at the Solihull plant. The cars have been sourced from all over the world and will be available in left-hand and right-hand drive. Each reborn car will be given special treatment, with a team of experts working for hundreds of hours on each example. The buyer will be able to watch the cars progress from start to finish.

The unique models will be fitted with original parts from the Classic department, customers will get a choice of the original colours and materials, including RAF Blue and Poppy Red. All will come with a full warranty, service support and parts from Land Rover’s Classics division. The reborn Series 1’s will not be fitted with modern safety or emissions technology, keeping the cars as authentic as possible.

The limited examples are expected to sell out quickly, each iconic Land Rover Series 1 model will cost between £60,000- £80,000.
