Lotus reveals limited edition Evora 400

Lotus will release a limited edition Evora 400, to celebrate 50 years at their headquarters and factory in Hethel. The limited edition’s iconic styling was voted for on social media by Lotus fans from across the world.

The new ‘Blue & Orange Edition’ is part of the company’s 50th Norfolk anniversary celebration, and to mark the event, the Lotus design team left the final decision down to its biggest fans. A range of design choices were created and then published in polls on social media for the public to vote for.

The retro-inspired ‘Blue & Orange Edition’ polled as a clear favourite and will be heading to production. The styling harks back to Lotus’s distinctive 1960’s blue and orange colour scheme seen on their racing cars. The interior will receive black leather upholstery with contrasting orange stitching.

The Evora 400 has a mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 engine, delivering 400bhp and 302lb ft of torque. The car is capable of 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 186mph.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus, revealed that only 10 of these unique editions will be made to ensure rarity and desirability.  Pricing and delivery information are yet to be released.
