Maserati Levante SUV set for 2016 release

Maserati will unveil its long-awaited Levante SUV at the 2016 Geneva motor show.

Maserati’s first foray into the SUV market will be 100 percent Italian – assembled at the Miafori plant, rather than the Detroit factory as originally planned.

The new SUV will offer a range of engine options, including twin-turbo 350bhp and 425bhp V6s, a 560bhp V8 petrol and 3 diesels, ranging from 250bhp to 340bhp.  All Levante models will feature four-wheel drive and automatic transmission as standard.  Design and styling will be in line with the Quattroporte and Ghibli, with a large front grille and swept-back headlights.

The Levante is likely to be priced around £55,000 when it goes on sale in the UK at the end of 2016.
