MAT Lancia Stratos due for Geneva unveil

It has been confirmed that a new Lancia Stratos will be built in limited numbers, with the first example due to be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Italian coachbuilders MAT (Manifattura Automobili Torino) have confirmed a total of 25 examples of the new Lancia Stratos will be built. Details of the Italian sports car are limited, however it’s been suggested the new Stratos will follow the same template as the 2011 concept car, which saw major components being taken from the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, including the chassis and 4.3-litre V8 engine.

A spokesperson for MAT said, ‘The base platform that MAT will use will allow the creation of a GT racer, a safari version and a competent supercar for the daily use.’
