McLaren Special Operations 650S at Goodwood

After the debut of the Spider version at Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren’s Special Operations division have confirmed their 650S variant will enter production and after the positive reaction from China, the model will go on sale globally. In true McLaren style, this model will be limited to just 50 units with a price of £252,500 for the Coupe and increasing to £272,500 for the Spider. The model has been designed to display the bespoke upgrades available for the 650S and has the added bonus of having input from Design Director, Frank Stephenson. The exterior has satin finished carbon fibre across it and a more distinct rear diffuser. The new lightweight allows are 10-spoke and ‘Palladium’ in colour with a bespoke diamond effect on the inside. They have the added benefit of saving 4kg in weight over standard rims. The model is offered with a range of paint colours; ‘Agrigan Black’ metallic paint, ‘Papaya Spark’ which is a contemporary twist on the traditional McLaren orange and ‘Sarigan Quartz, a new colour first seen at Goodwood. Inside, carbon black leather and Alcantara have been used for the fabric with satin lacquered carbon fibre detailing throughout the cabin. To contrast this, the air vents and Active Dynamics panel have a gloss finish. To top it all off, a Frank Stephenson signed sketch and branded leather holdall have been included with each unique 650S.
