McLaren’s new MSO Carbon Series 675LT

McLaren has revealed a limited edition Carbon Series 675LT Spider, developed in-house by the ‘McLaren Special Operations’ division.

The new Carbon Series has been produced following high demand for the carbon-based P1 that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The 675LT Carbon Series will be limited to a mere 25 units globally, which have all been sold now.

The new edition is based on the original 675LT and receives the same 666bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of a startling 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds and top speed of 203mph. The Carbon 675LT comes standard with McLaren’s ‘Track Telemetry’ pack, which consists of 3 cameras for track filming.

The Carbon Series 675LT has been given special attention by the MSO team and features 40% more carbonfibre body panels than the standard 675LT. There is a new glossy carbonfibre retractable roof and tonneau for the Spider. The main body features high gloss carbonfibre panels with visible weave, including the rear deck, bonnet, A-pillars, front and rear wings, bumpers and diffusers, and even the fuel cap.

The Carbon Series 675LT Spider will head to production this autumn and the 25 lucky buyers can expect delivery within a year.
