Meet the New Lamborghini Huracan GT3!

The new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is a lower, lighter, stiffer and less powerful, but generally much more hard-core vehicle than the standard Lamborghini road car.

Set  to make its debut at Monza in April during the first race in the Blancpain Endurance Series, the most significant change from the road car is that the 5.2-litre V10 sends power solely to the rear wheels via a sequential six speed gearbox and a three-disc racing clutch.

The aerodynamic properties of the car have been developed with Dallara and are influenced by louvres over the front wings, scimitar-style canards, a cavernous rear diffuser and an adjustable ‘gooseneck’ rear wing. The rear end of the car is also dramatically open-worked in a bid to keep engine temperatures reasonable.

Even though final performance figures have not yet been confirmed, around 490bhp and a top speed of 170mph, due to short gearing, are expected.

The retail price of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is €369,000, similar to McLaren’s £330,000 price tag for the 650S GT3.
