Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2001 Formula One winning car is heading for auction
The coveted Ferrari F2001, driven by Michael Schumacher during the 2001 season, is heading for auction at the Contemporary Art Evening in New York this November.
The F2001 was deployed over 17 race weekends under the helm of Schumacher and saw eleven pole positions, nine victories and five second place positions. The brainchild of Ross Brawn, the F2001 features a 3.0-litre V10, with a phenomenal 17,300rpm red line and 825bhp.
The new lucky owner will also benefit from a team from Ferrari to keep the F2001 in perfect condition. Ferrari will store it and transport it to your pre-arranged destination with a team of Ferrari mechanics, technicians and test drivers in toe.
The car will be tendered by RM Sotheby’s during the Contemporary Art Evening in November and as expected, a bidding war is bound to ensue, with estimates for the iconic machine expected to reach over £3 million.
