MSO McLaren Senna ‘Carbon Theme’ images released

The McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division has taken the already unbelievable Senna and shown what could be done to the limited 500 run model.

The carbon fibre exterior consists of 67 parts and took nearly 1000 hours to create. The carbon fibre elements are paired with yellow accents on the front active aero blades, sills and rear wing, which takes an additional 250 hours. Finally, in homage to the colours on Ayrton Senna’s race helmet, the brake calipers are painted green. This colour scheme is then carried through to the interior against a carbon black Alcantara trim. Senna’s ‘S’ logo can be found on the headrests as well as on the rear wing. Those who specify this pack will also get new MSO Aluminium/Carbon hybrid wheels, that are 10% lighter than the standard wheels.

All 500 Senna models have now been sold at a reported cost of £750,000. Those lucky customers who choose to opt for the ‘Carbon Theme’, will need to add on the cost of a well-optioned 720S to get the bespoke MSO elements.
