The new Apollo Arrow

The 2016 Apollo Arrow concept car shown at Geneva will be adapted into a production model for 2017. The new brand Apollo will collaborate with Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus and MAT.

The Apollo Arrow concept will be adapted into two production cars, a race car code-named ‘Titan’ and the Arrow S a road-legal version. The brand Apollo was formed from the remaining parts of the liquidised and bought out hypercar company Gumpert.

The new supercar will be made in conjunction with the engineering and supercar specialist, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. SCG’s SCG003 racer won class honours at this year’s Nurburgring 24hrs race. The Italian company, Manifattura Automobili Torino, will also be involved in the manufacturing to make sure Apollo’s first car is a premium quality offering.

The ‘Titan’ Arrow race car will be released in 2017, it will feature a naturally-aspirated V12 engine and performance is ball-parked at 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed well over 200mph. The ‘Titan’ will debut in spring and will be ready for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The road going Arrow S will be released later in 2017 and feature a smaller twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

Further specification and technology details will be released by Apollo closer to the reveal date. Pricing and volume are yet to be released, however demand for the new brand is expected to be high.
