New Aston Martin DB11 Volante spied at Nurburgring
Aston Martin’s new DB11 Volante has been spotted at the Nurburgring. The soft-top DB11 will closely resemble its coupe sibling, sharing the same drivetrain, chassis and styling.
The latest DB11 will unfortunately lose some of the aerodynamic features of the coupe, such as the ‘virtual rear wing’, but the car will have a ‘stronger GT feel’, so the effects are likely to be minimal.
In a departure from previous DB Volantes, Aston Martin is expected to offer its latest soft-top with a new 4.0-litre, AMG-sourced V8. The downsized engine option will also be offered with the coupe, which should lower the base price and improve handling, due to the reduced weight under the bonnet.
Full pricing and spec details will be released closer to the DB11 Volante’s launch date in spring 2018.
