New Aston Martin Vanquish spotted at the Nurburgring
Aston Martins third generation Vanquish has been spotted for the first time, during testing at the Nurburgring. Aston decided not to opt for the usual camo look, instead deciding on a matt black paint job, that only masks the finer details of the test car.
The front is dominated by a larger mesh grille which is flanked by two large, side air intakes. The side evokes memories of the original Vanquish, with its prominent crease over the front arch and a muscular rear haunch. The Vanquish retains its signature curlicue vents from the DB11, which relieve air pressure from the front arches. The rear of the vehicle is fairly similar to that of the DB11, however quad exhaust pipes and a pronounced rear diffuser hint at the performance models brief from the brand.
Whilst there is no indication of performance figures yet, it is believed the Vanquish will use an uprated version of the 5.2-litre, twin-turbo V12 found in the DB11.
Prices and a release date are yet to be confirmed, although it is widely believed the Vanquish will make an appearance in 2019.
