New Discovery Sport with Brand New Engines from September 2015. 

Land Rover has announced the Discovery Sport SUV is now available with the firm’s new range of Ingenium diesel engines.

The new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium engine, which is also used in the new Jaguar XE, is offered in two versions, a 148bhp or 178bhp, and promise significantly reduced running costs.

Land Rover claims that the car is now capable of 57.7mpg and 129g/km of CO2 and service intervals have been extended from 16,000 miles to 21,000 miles. 

A six-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard, while a nine-speed automatic is optional for the higher-powered version. Both versions come exclusively with four-wheel drive and the 5+2 optional seating arrangement is only available in the more powerful 178bhp engine.

Land Rover has also confirmed that a new flagship HSE Black model will join the range, and it will be priced from £41,250. 

Prices for the new Discovery Sports start at £30,695 for the entry-level version and buyers can order it now for a September 2015 delivery.
