New Koenigsegg XS to debut at Monterey

Koenigsegg, the Swedish supercar marque, has designed an astounding one-off creation for a special client.  The Agera XS will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week.

The unique hypercar is the latest evolution of the Agera RS and will be joined by the Regera and Agera RS on the stand during Monterey. The XS will be the only car so far to be road-legal in the US market, highlighting the company’s future ambitions.

The XS has more practical and comfort focused features than the UK’s RS; however it still packs a punch. The XS runs on a supercharged 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, producing a whopping 1,341bhp. The V8 engine is linked to a seven-speed paddle shift gearbox. The bespoke model is fitted with active dampers, carbon ceramic brakes and active aerodynamics.

The XS is given bold styling, it is finished in a new ‘Karosserie Orange’ metallic-flecked paint and receives the largest ever carbonfibre rear wing on a Koenigsegg. The orange and black theme is continued in the cabin, which features black Alcantara with contrasting bright orange stitching. The especially designed car comes with modern advanced technology including Apple CarPlay, climate control and a hydraulic lift function.

Koenigsegg have not yet revealed the buyer or the pricing for the unique XS, however a hefty premium can be expected above the price of the Agera RS.
