New limited edition Caterham Seven Sprint

To mark the 60th anniversary of the original Seven model, Caterham has unveiled a limited edition retro-inspired car – the Seven Sprint.

The Seven Sprint made its public debut during the Goodwood Revival and is one part of the 60th anniversary celebrations being laid on by Caterham.

The new model pays homage to the original, taking inspiration and styling from the era. The Sprint features cream painted steel wheels and hubcabs, as well as long flared front arches, mimicking the iconic 60’s Seven models.

The Sprint will be available in a choice of the most popular 6 colours in the 1960’s; Regency Red, Cream, Camberwick Green, Mellow Yellow, British Racing Green and Misty Blue. The modern Caterham logos have been replaced by heritage ones and the chassis and roll bars are painted the same grey as the original. The Sprint has redesigned rear lights and a new exhaust silencer.

The interior is beautifully finished in 1960’s styling with a wood-effect dashboard, wood rimmed steering wheel and a retro instrument layout. The luggage compartment and cabin are trimmed with carpet, and the premium leather seats are hand-stitched in scarlet red.

The powertrain remains completely modern; the Sprint runs on the same 79bhp turbocharged three cylinder engine as the Caterham 160.

Only 60 limited edition models will be produced by Caterham and pricing starts at £27,995. The Seven Sprint’s order books are now open. The celebrations are set to continue in 2017 at the Caterham Festival in Donnington.
