New Porsche 911 GT3 RS unveiled ahead of Geneva Motor Show
Porsche have revealed the new 911 GT3 RS ahead its eagerly awaited world reveal at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The GT3 RS will mix the naturally aspirated performance from the GT3, with the extreme aerodynamic styling of the GT2 RS.
The new GT3 RS will feature a naturally aspirated six cylinder, four-litre engine, which will develop 513bhp, 346lb ft. of torque and will hit peak power at a phenomenal 8450rpm. 0-62mph is tackled in just 3.3 seconds, a tenth of a second faster than its predecessor.
The interior features the various elements you’d expect from the GT3 RS, including carbon-shelled bucket seats, an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel and storage nets for door bins. Those who feel they need more can opt for the Clubsport package, which features a half-roll cage, fire extinguisher and a six-point harness. Customers who opt for the Weissach package will get a carbon fibre front bonnet, magnesium wheels and a titanium half-cage.
The GT3 RS is priced at £141,346 and will go on sale later this year. Those who opt for the Weissach package, or even just the magnesium wheels, will have to wait until after the first scheduled deliveries due later this summer.
