Novitec Reveal 637bhp McLaren 570S Spider Kit

German tuners Novitec have developed a package of performance and visual upgrades to enhance the already impressive McLaren 570s Spider. New programmes for the ECU have released an extra 75bhp and 67lb ft of torque from the existing 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, resulting in new total figures of 637bhp and 510lb ft of torque. Also, owners can choose to turn the performance boost on and off via the ‘Active Dynamic Panel’, should they wish to dial down the power.

Alongside the performance upgrades, Novitec offer a suite of exterior upgrades that both enhance the driving experience and improve the cars exterior aesthetics. Carbonfibre makes an appearance, with a large chin spoiler, side skirts, rear wing and blades behind the doors that funnel air into the engine. Novitec claim wind tunnel testing confirms the new additions reduce drag and increase downforce on the vehicle. Lightweight forged alloys complete the look, now with 20-inch alloys on the front and 21-inch alloys at the rear. These ride on Novitec’s cut springs which lower the ride height by 30mm, resulting in more direct handling.

All these enhancements, coupled with a new exhaust system, have dropped the 0-62mph time from 3.2 seconds to 3.0 seconds flat and increased the top speed by 4mph to 208mph. Novitec are yet to announce a price for the 570s Spider package.
