Order books open for the new Alpine

Renault’s rejuvenated premium sub-brand, Alpine, has opened its order books for the all-new 2018 sports car, and announced a limited edition Premiere model.

Alpine revealed a new video, images and information about the sports car, which is rumoured to be called the Alpine A120.

The new sports car will be a lightweight, mid-engined car, with an emphasis on modern design and technology.  The range will consist of the 3 models, shown camouflaged in the video. Alpine has confirmed a swift 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds. The first cars will be sold in Europe, then slightly later in the UK.

The limited production ‘Premiere Edition’ models are available for the debut and can be reserved now. Only 1,955 special edition cars will be made and can be secured for a £1,700 deposit. The chosen 1,955 number is in reference to Alpine’s original motorsport founding year in 1955. The limited editions come with a special commemorative plaque with a limited edition number.  There is a choice of 3 colours; Bleu Alpine, Noir Profound, and Blanc Solitaire.

The Premiere Edition will be priced at £50,000 and more details will be revealed in 2017. Reservations are available for selected European markets and Japan. Deliveries for Europe will begin in 2017, however the car won’t arrive in the UK until 2018.
