Porsche 911 GT2 RS revealed in full glory

The eagerly anticipated Porsche 911 GT2 RS has been revealed to the world at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The GT2 RS is the most hardcore version of the popular 911 model, producing astonishing figures of 700bhp and 553lb ft of torque, resulting in a 0-62mph sprint time of 2.8 seconds.

The car is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.8-litre flat-six engine used by the 911 Turbo S, but upgrades mean it delivers 120bhp more than a Turbo S. This is achieved by using larger turbochargers with water-to-water intercoolers offering improved combustion and more top-end power.

Inside, the GT2 RS embraces a combination of black leather and red Alcantara upholstery throughout, as well as Porsche racing bucket seats and a sports steering wheel, complete with paddle shifts, which further complement and add to the presence of this hardened version.

The 911 GT2 RS is available to order now from £207,506, complete with an optional Weissach package, which shaves a further 30kg off the car, costing an extra £21,042.
